Features in digiSHOP 8.0
Mobile Commerce
The digiSHOP 8.0 mobile storefront eliminates all of that
manipulation to make it fast and easy for mobile device
users to buy online from anywhere, anytime.
Multiple Shipping Zones
You can now setup multiple shipping zones. This will
allow you to setup different shipping methods based on the
shipping location of the customer.
ccImagePlus! with Picnik Integration
Store owners can upload product photos and use
ccImagePlus™ tools to resize, crop, touch up and edit images
automatically, on the fly, then post them on their
storefronts in real time.
Phone Order System
You can now quickly place orders on the phone directly
inside of your store's administrative interface.put your
mouse over the design link on the top right, click on
configure active design. Then click on Templates/CSS.
Auto-Suggest Search
The new Auto-Suggest feature in the search function of
digishop 8.0 is designed to help ecommerce shoppers find
items they are interested in and wish to buy. Similar to the
search suggestion function of major search engines such as
Google, when a shopper starts to type, the digiSHOP 8.0
search will display a drop-down list of suggestions the
shopper can click on to execute the search. This minimizes
typing and mistakes and helps shoppers find products fast
even if they are unsure of the name or correct spelling.
Product Tab Navigation
This feature was created due to popular demand. You can
choose to use a tab format for your product detail pages for
your description, related products, etc. You can do this by
going to any product and clicking on the "Use Tab
Navigation" checkbox under the description. This will allow
you to have tab navigation for some products, while others
can use the current layout.
Auto Meta Tags
Have us do some of the meta tag work for you. We will
auto-populate your meta tags to help improve your search
engine results. This happens when you add a product,
category or content page and leave the meta tags blank.
Drag and Drop Design Mode
If you are using generic design you will be able to drag
and drop any existing widgets in your store front. You will
also be able to edit any word or phrase by simply clicking
on the word and editing it right on the fly.
Twitter/Facebook for your Products
When you add/edit a product (under general section), you
can now choose if you want to allow your customers to post
your products directly on their Twitter or Facebook account.
This is a great social marketing tool.
Web-Based Template Editing
Be able to edit the templates and css directly in your
web browser with an inline text editor (of course you could
always still use FTP)
3D-Secure Integration
With PayPal Payments Pro, we have integrated with
3D-Secure to work with Verified by Visa and MasterCard
SecureCode.
New Powerful Search
You can now specify you want the default built-in search
to be "and" search or an "or" search or a "combination".
This will give you the power to get better results.
Google Site Search Integration
We have integrated with Google Site Search. You will now
be able to have the search widget use the power of Google
Search to power your store's searching capability. This does
require a fee to Google to use this service. To access this
feature, put your mouse over settings in the top right of
the admin panel, click on widget settings, then click on
search result logic. There you will see the option to use
this feature.
Custom Dashboard Layout
The old admin main menu is now a drag and drop dashboard.
You can create custom Key Performance Indicators, connect
with RSS feeds and more.
Easy to Use Admin Interface
We have built a brand new easier to use admin interface
for quicker access to features.
Amazon.com & Nextag Product Feed
In addition to the current product feeds, we have add
these two brand new product feeds.
Free Shipping Membership Groups
You can set an entire membership group to receive free
shipping.
Top Added to Cart Items Report
New report which would show you which products are added
to cart most often.
MSRP and Savings Percentage
You can now have the MSRP display on the product detail
page and CoreCommerce will calculate the savings based on
the price and display the savings amount to the customer.
Email a Quote
You can change the email a friend feature to be email a
quote. This would allow your customers to see an email a
quote link on your product detail page and the form would be
sent to the store's administrators email.
New Recently Viewed Widget
If you add this widget, your customers will be able to
view items they recently viewed but have not added to their
shopping cart.
Compare Products
This will allow your customers on your store to compare
up to 4 products side by side. Just check the compare
checkbox under product settings to enable this feature.
Send Add to Cart to Cross Sell Page
You can now choose to send your customers to a cross sell
only page after an item is added to cart by the customer.
Authorize.net Authorization
You can now specify a percentage to overauthorize a
charge if using authorization. This way if you need to
charge additional for shipping you can easily capture the
funds.
Maximum Order Quantity
Under the advanced section when adding/editing a product,
you can now specify a maximum order quantity for a product.
Coupon Shipping Method
You can create a coupon, if used, will create a new
shipping method based on the amount you specify with the
coupon.
Quote System
Added a quote system so customers can add items to their
cart and submit the order as a quote.
Product Personalization
There is a new option available called Chart.
Custom Lists Can Now Have Meta Tags
When you create any custom lists you can now set meta
tags for each list.
Featured Product Update
Specify the number of products to display in the feature
product widget (previously you could only have 1 at a time
in the widget).
Request a lower price for a product
This feature will allow your customers to request a lower
price for a product. This will typically be used in price
matching. For example, on a product they see a price of
$14.95. If you have this feature enabled they will be able
to click a link for price matching. There they would fill
out a form to let you know the price and where they saw the
price on the internet. This would be emailed to you. From
there you would contact the customer to let them know if you
want to price match for that product.
HST tax rates for British Columbia and Ontario
To support tax rates changes coming in July we have added
HST for British Columbia and Ontario.
Donation Type personalization
digiSHOP now allows the individual donor to input a
custom donation amount, rather than require the choice of a
pre-determined option from a list. This adds greater
flexibility for both the donor and the organization that can
help to encourage larger donations that fall between
previously-established thresholds.
Disable Font Manager
For designers who would prefer not to have the font
manager override any of their changes, they can now disable
the font manager.
Fedex Freight Vendor Based Shipping
Now all real-time shipping providers, including FedEx
Freight, work with vendor based shipping. This way if you
have multiple warehouses you can have rates determined by
the location of the warehouse.
Widget Name Images
Again this was a highly requested feature. You can now
upload specific images for the widget names. For example, if
you are using the Category widget. The name in the widget
itself on your store will say "Category". You can now also
upload an image to replace the name "Category" with an image
of your choice. This allows for more design flexiblity. You
can do this by configuring your active design, under the
design drop down and then click on the fonts tab.

Abandoned Carts Addition
You can now place an order or send out an email to the

the abandoned carts page.

You can sort personalization's and answers tied to them.
Gift Certificates Expiration
You can setup gift certificates to have expiration dates
for your store.
Free Shipping Supports Customer Groups
This was a requested feature by several customers. You
can set which customer groups (ie Wholesale,etc.) will be
eligible for the eligible for free shipping feature in the
shipping settings.
Email Blacklist
You can now setup an email blacklist which will prevent
customers from placing orders using certain email addresses.
For example if you may not want to accept an orders from a
yahoo.com email address. You can set this under Settings >
Store Settings > PCI/Security Settings.
